BURDA Wednesday

Hello there!

We are heading back in time to April 1955.

Welcome to polka-dot heaven!

Right smack at the start - the utterly adorable red dress.

Stripes can be worn by anyone,
we just have to make sure we've got the proper ones.

"Dress and bolero"
Good for moody summer days.

Wee, yes.
It is a halter-top my friends. :)

Youthful drifting
(I doubt I got this one right) :)

About baskets.
Not all the baskets goto the picnic. Over here, many women carry their all over the place. You can see an array of them in the Farmer's AMrket (and we have those every Friday). We carry them along when we go to the shop, or when we gather fruit. They truly are usefull little things.

Womenly elegance.

New summer dresses.
New summer shoes.
Oh, how I like them all.

The time came to wear your perls on your hand.

You find your skirt too plain?
No problem - use these as an idea and
transform it into a work of art.

Lovely shirts on one side
Kaloderma on the other (yes, it still exists)

"For moody weather"

Who said ladies can't ride?
Labretta is the way to go.

Lambretta was a line of motor scooters originally manufactured in Milan, Italy.
In 1922, Ferdinando Innocenti of Pescia built a steel-tubing factory in Rome. In 1931, he took the business to Milan where he built a larger factory producing seamless steel tubing and employing about 6,000. The factory was heavily bombed and destroyed during World War II. It is said that surveying the ruins, Innocenti saw the future of cheap, private transport and decided to produce a motor scooter, competing on cost and weather protection against the ubiquitous motorcycle.

There's always something for the gents.

Even when doing some housework, these ladies look lovely.

No skirt is complete without the pettycoat.

Have I planned to end it with a halter? No.. but it's the way it is. :)
Halter is also an important part of the garment.

As I'm finishing this up, it's raining outside.
Rain is a problem for us, since our Town Fair is just days away. We are struggling with the ideas of our dear guests getting soaked on the evening concert. Oh, the rain can surely souil the fun.. I hope it stops by Saturday, so we can all have a lovely day.

By the way:
If you are passing thes area, do stop by. I'll be waiting.
