The one were I quote Jane Fonda


Hello everybody!

Whether you need workout advice (get sweaty or else!), diet tips (all wheat bran, all the time!), or real talk about being your best self (fu** the patriarchy!), Jane has a quote for you, and all the stages of your life.

Plus, her absolute positivism 
will make you at least want to get up and do something
even if it's not the "Advanced Buttocks" workout.

In the 1980s, Jane Fonda was indisputably the aerobics queen.
The Hollywood star released her first exercise video in 1982 and promptly sold 17 million copies - she has been widely credited for launching the fitness craze that spread across America and Britain in the Eighties.. then slowly took on the world.


On Working Out:
'Go for the burn! Sweat!”
'When you think you can't do any more repetitions, do two more!”
'Exercise teaches you the pleasure of discipline!”
'No distractions. Center yourself. This is your time!”

  1. Hmm. Not sure I'd want to do aerobics ever again - unless the choice was that or running!

    That said, I'd rather do aerobics than eat yeast flakes or bran.

    1. Oh, Mim.
      You've made me laugh.
      That is exactly my point, when it comes to aerobics. Both that, and running simply have no place in my life. Running is not possible due to a childhood knee injury that made running impossible. Aerobics ask for a good coordination of movements - and I lack in it completely.
      On the other side, I eat bran.
      It's a stomach thing.
      nothing nice about it - just something you spoon-in and be done with it. :)

  2. She even had a pregnancy workout which I did religiously, with the exception of one exercise that was too "stretchy" for a preggers woman.

  3. I think I had a few of her workouts back in the day. I know I had at least her basic workout video. At age 56 I wouldn't even attempt those videos now. My hips and knees would need replacing afterwards.
