Tomorrow, I'm leaving my Motherland for a four-day business trip to Milan, Italy. (No, no.. I'm NOT going to Fashion Week..) We will be attending a rural and agricultural fair named "Essere Terra".
With that in mind, I'm remembering my post about travel packing and I intend to follow what I wrote.
I'm making the list and the hint is "Pack 1/2 of the things you think you need, and 2 times more money than you think you need"
Milan (Italian: Milano [miˈlaːno] ( listen); Milanese: Milan [miˈlaŋ]) is the second-largest city in Italy and the capital of Lombardy. The city proper has a population of about 1.35 million, while its urban area is the 5th largest in the EU and the largest in Italy with an estimated population of about 5.2 million.
The massive suburban sprawl that followed the post-war boom of the 1950s–60s and the growth of a vast commuter belt, suggest that socioeconomic linkages have expanded well beyond the boundaries of its administrative limits and its agglomeration, creating a metropolitan region of 7 to 9 million people.
According to Eurostat the Milan metropolitan region contains a population of 8,071,271 people in 2011. It has been suggested that the Milan metropolitan region is part of the so-called Blue Banana, the area of Europe with the highest population and industrial density.
I think there will be no time for me to publish my regular Sunday Love Story, but I will make it up to you with pictures from the Fair. Hopefully, there might be an organized visit, and I'll have more material to share here.
I will be back on Tuesday, my dear friends!
